Our honeymoon was so much fun. We relaxed on the patio of our swim-up room and went around the island to see what St. Lucia has to offer. St. Lucia has tons of banana groves and is known for it's volcano in the city of Soufriere. In the last picture, the Pitons (the volcanos) are the in background.
It took us quite a while on many winding roads to get to them. Once there, we walked into the volcano and also by the sulfur springs (which smell like rotten eggs). Our bus smelled for a while after we left.
We had planned to do mostly water excursions like snorkeling and a boat tour, but the weather service was predicting bad storms so they canceled all water excursions. :(
On the way home to Houston, we were delayed in San Juan, Puerto Rico and we were afraid that we would miss our connecting flight in Miami. Luckily, that flight was delayed too. Unluckily (is that a word), it was delayed until 1:00 am. We ended up landing very late in Houston (although we both slept from the moment we sat down to when the captain told us we were landing). Since it was Sunday night we couldn't bother any friends to pick us up so we took a taxi home at 3:00 am, finally getting into bed around 4:15 am. But it was all worth it!!!

Photo 2: Day 1 when our baggage was still lost. We hung out on the beach in our travel clothes. Hence the pants on the beach.

Photo 4: The view from our swim-up room. No that man is not with us. Our pool was shared with three other swim-up rooms. It was so relaxing to sit on the patio and read.
