Halloween Party

We went to a Halloween Costume Party at my friend's house. It was mainly teachers, so Michael only knew a few people. He didn't want to dress up, so we compromised and he did anyway. Oh wait, that's not a compromise. I must be confused on that definition. Anyway, he was a good sport because he knew I wanted to go, so even though his neck was hurting he went with me. We didn't quite close down the party, but we stayed a few hours.

There are stories behind our costumes....
Michael's: He already had everything!! The jersey is his 12 year old jersey from Greater Bellflower, the hat is from an adult league he played in, and the rest was accumulated from various teams.
Sarah's: I went to the costume store with Rebekah, but there were two problems. The costumes that I liked were too expensive (I would NEVER pay $150 for a costume) and the costumes I would buy were stupid. SO, on Thursday night at Bunco (yes, I am 75 years old) my friend asked if anyone needed a costume. She bought a few to let her husband choose which he wanted to match. Apparently, he didn't want to be a pirate.

I LOVED my costume, but I was conflicted. Was I a pirate? The hat says "yes."
Was I a German/Dutch girl? The dress indicates "maybe."
Debbie says I was a pirate, but without the hat you couldn't tell!

Photo 1: The baseball player (or Michael when he was 12) and the pirate/German girl.
Photo 2: Kaitlin, the mob princess.
Photo 3: There used to be 4 friends, but now there's 3. Oh well, we're working on a 4th.
Photo 4: I screamed so loud when this lifelike Jason moved toward me with his knife on Bunco night!!!! This thing is right in the middle of the porch and you have to walk around it to get in. I was standing next to it with my friends waiting to be let in. We knew it made noise but the motion sensor must not have picked up our movement right away. It turned and bent down toward me and I screamed like a little child! I hate that thing.
Photo 5: Debbie's whole house was blacked out. They covered the walls in black cloth and this guy was blocking the stairs.
Photo 6: Girls from work. A witch, a stewardess, Zena the warrior princess, ME, the pregnant pumpkin, tinkerbell.
Photo 7: Rebekah on the left and our boss in the middle!
