We went to this Sidewalk Art Show in downtown Houston last weekend. It was pretty awesome. It reminded me of the chalk artists in Mary Poppins, except the Houston artists were filthy from the chalk and they didn't get up and sing and dance around their pieces, nor did they jump into the scene. If you are totally lost right now, you need to rent Mary Poppins!
When we were there, I decided that the peacock was my favorite piece because there was so much detail using only a few colors, but that particular one is not as impressive in the picture. The baboon was the featured piece at the show. When you looked closely, you could see so many colors that were not apparent at first glance. It was really cool.
The art show/walk weaved around a park where the leaves were changing colors. I love the beautiful colors (although not as vibrant as in other parts of the US)!
