As of Monday, Hurricane Ike is over Cuba and is projected to come through Houston. We won't know for sure until Wednesday once it's in the Gulf. We'll definitely be leaving town if the projections stay the same. Keep us in your prayers!
Monday Update: As of 7:40 pm Monday Central time, Ike has weakened to a Category 1 and the course has changed. It is now headed south of us.
Wednesday Update: The school district that I work in has announced that it will close on Friday in preparation of Ike. Neighboring districts have announced closures at 12 noon tomorrow (Thursday). Michael and I have not made a final decision about our plans, but we will likely leave tonight though our destination is unknown.
