We are Getting Back to Normal

Hopefully most of our friends and family know by now that our house was undamaged by Hurricane Ike. We lost a few fences and tree branches, but nothing big. Our new roof held up!!!

It was an interesting and anxious time, but we feel blessed that we did not lose our home. We enjoyed our time in Dallas and even had fun cleaning up the mess and living without power and water for a few days. It's a story "to tell the grandchildren" and we feel like it was a character-building and bonding experience that made us rely on each other. We spent our 6 month anniversary cleaning our lawn and eating top ramen, but it's a memory we will not soon forget.
