My dad came to town for a week-long visit and it was fantastic! He is so easy to host because he always wants to do what we normally do, with a few extra dinners or lunches out. We took him to Haak Vineyard in Santa Fe (about 15 minutes south) and it was sweltering that afternoon, but he didn't seem to mind. They had five other vineyard reps there giving free samples so it was perfect.
I took dad to my classroom, which is still in shambles from summer school, and we watched our favorite TV show - Burn Notice. With his schedule, he doesn't keep up on many shows so we popped in the DVDs and watched almost all of season two. Season three just came out so I know what we'll be doing at Christmas. Did I mention that the fam is coming to us for a Texas Christmas?
We are so looking forward to mom's visit in a few weeks. Boy, we are blessed!
