2010-2011 school has begun. We are about to begin week two and a student already told me that he is counting down to summer. Are you serious? I recommended counting down to Thanksgiving. His classmate said, "Just count to our first day off. That'll be sooner."
I wasn't blessed with much creativity, so the few things I came up with (ie the map display and white board magnets) are pretty precious to me. I took a few pictures before I was completely done so you could get a small taste of where I spend 8 hours each day. The only difference: 30 12-14 year old occupying the chairs.
I came up with a great little hall pass area where the students can sit to fill out the pass before leaving and on day 1, a kid lost the pass. So somewhere out there floats a black hall pass with my name and a velcro tab on the back. Please return it!
By the way, the country names taped on the map are not supposed to be near the actual location. I put red string from the name to the location. I know The Netherlands is not located south of Africa. I've been there; give me some credit.
